Recent Armory Concerts

October 3, 2009 - Ron Reseigh - Ron has been the featured organist at the Organ Piper Restaurant in Milwaukee for the past 6 years. He enjoys performing music of yesterday and today, often including music by composers like Scott Joplin and John Williams!

April 18, 2009 - Donnie Rankin - Donnie is a member of our Western Reserve chapter.  He has won several competitions including the 2007 ATOS Young Artist of the Year.  He has embarked upon a full time performance career, delighting audiences across North America.  He has released a new CD and is a staff organist at the Akron Civic Theatre.

Sept 27, 2008 - Peter Hansen - Peter comes to us from north of the border in Burlington, Ontario, Canada.  He was born in Kingston, Ontario where he began taking piano lessons at the age of 12.  At age 13 he decided to give up piano in favor of learning to play the organ.  Peter studied organ briefly, but is primarily self taught.  His talents were readily recognized when he began playing at the Organ Grinder Restaurant in Toronto at the age of only 14!  He then became an assistant organist there, playing part time throughout his high school and college years until age 22.

April 19, 2008 - Mark Herman currently lives in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He has been studying the piano since he was seven years old and started classical organ lessons at age 12.  Mark entertained the WRTOS membership at its 2006 Christmas Party. He is currently 20 years old and a student at DePaul University in Chicago where he is majoring in Theatre Management.

October 27, 2007 - David Peckham is an emerging East Coast talent and has been resident organist at the Clemens Center in Elmira, NY since its opening. Hearing theatre organ music even before he was born, David Peckham was fortunate to grow up in a home packed with a modest theatre organ and all sorts of automatic musical instruments. David's formal musical training has all been in the classical realm, culminating with study with Dr. David Craighead at the University of Rochester's Eastman School of Music. Theatre organ study has primarily been through listening to concerts and recordings and in the 1970's occaisional coaching with Dennis James and Don Kinnier.
